Who can transcend

A traditional second class at Base Level 99 and Job Level 50 can become its transcendent class: Lord Knight, Paladin, High Wizard, Professor, High Priest, Champion, Sniper, Clown, Gypsy, Assassin Cross, Stalker, Whitesmith or Creator.

The road to Valhalla

  1. Earn your Hero's Record: your second-job master sets one final deed and writes it. The Job change guide lists each one.
  2. Visit Metheus Sylphe in the Sage Castle library in Juno and make the offering of 1,285,000 Zeny.
  3. Read the Book of Ymir to travel to Valhalla.
  4. Speak to the Valkyrie, who raises you to your transcendent class.

You keep your level

Unlike the classic rebirth, transcending in Asterveil does not reset your character. You keep your Base Level and every skill you have learned. Your new class starts at Job Level 1 and opens its own transcendent skills on a new tab of the Skills window.

Transcendent classes have more HP and SP, receive extra stat points, wear everything their second class could, and take on the classic transcendent look.

Still one life

Transcendence makes a character stronger, not safer. The death and possession rules apply exactly as before.

Blue Mage, Red Mage and Summoner

The three Asterveil classes stay at Job Level 1, so instead of transcending they take an advanced form through the same Hero's Record, offering, Book of Ymir and Valkyrie, from Base Level 99. Their records come from the Arcane Examiner in Geffen and the Pact Witness in Archer Village. Each keeps its class, levels, skills and gear, and gains the transcendence package (25% more maximum HP and SP, and 52 extra stat points), a title, a class mantle and one capstone. Nothing else changes.
