A dangerous find does not have to be a solo fight
Lantern Watch is a public hunt board for naturally spawned Magic, Rare, and Mythic monsters. Open Watch from the game HUD to browse postings or request help. You do not need to be in the same party.
The finder selects the monster, chooses one to five helpers, reviews the Zeny fee, and confirms the request. Helpers choose a posting to join; when the group is ready, they rally to the finder.
Come prepared to help
- Stay alive and close enough to take part. Support players can contribute without competing for the final hit.
- Read the monster's modifiers and agree on a retreat plan.
- Watch is hunt assistance, not resurrection. The normal possession and permanent-death rules still apply.
- A Red Mage with an active mark on the monster takes part even from a distance. Blue Mages past Base Level 99 can learn a modifier from these monsters as a Trait, and a Summoner's Spirit Sight marks Magic, Rare and Mythic monsters on the minimap.
- A Rare monster guarding a gathering Glint can be called here too. Its defeat opens the Glint for everyone who helped.
- Watchman's Ration, a dish from Cooking, restores HP while you answer or hunt a call.
Loot and Watch Marks
Actual drops enter private loot pools where participants choose Roll or Pass. The finder has one Favor choice. Collect any winnings within 24 hours.
Eligible hunts also award account-bound Watch Marks, separate from item drops and character-bound soul embers. Keepers exchange Marks for rough refining materials and cosmetic insignias. Very easy hunts may offer reduced or no Marks to an overleveled traveler.
Remember the trip home
Watch does not automatically return you after a hunt. Bring your reusable Hearth Lantern if you want to travel back to your saved point afterward. Its cast can be interrupted and its cooldown still applies.
