Three Mercenary Guilds
Each guild's Mercenary Manager sells contract scrolls for grades 1 to 9. Higher grades need a higher Base Level, and the top grades also need your loyalty with that guild. The tenth-grade mercenary is offered only to the guild's most loyal patrons.

Hire and command
Read a scroll to hire its mercenary for 30 minutes of play time. The contract survives logging out. Your mercenary follows you through warps, fights what you attack and defends you when you are struck, using its own skills. Its kills count as yours for experience and loot.
Right-click your mercenary for its menu, or open the Mercenary window to see its HP, SP, time left, kills and loyalty, or to dismiss it. Mercenary Merchants beside each guild sell potions you can use on your mercenary.
Earning loyalty
Finishing contracts and defeating monsters with your mercenary builds loyalty with its guild. Losing a mercenary costs some loyalty.
