Open your journal
Press J, or open Esc and choose Covenant Journal. The journal is the in-game reference for the campaign, while this website explains its systems in more detail.
What to look for
- Your active chapter, current objective, and named destination.
- Exploration, hunting, and guardian progress.
- Your soul's state and the possession countdown.
- Embers and your next keeper visit.
- Roadside discoveries and Echo hunt progress.
- The current chapter's investigation and any regional chapters in progress, each with walking directions.
- Previously completed chapters and the account memorial.
If a chapter is not advancing
- Read the current Next step and named destination.
- Choose Show walking directions if you need help finding the route. Different dungeon floors can have different objectives.
- Finish the displayed objective, then speak to its named NPC.
- Choose Turn in a quest to collect the reward and move forward. Ready to turn in is not the same as already claimed.
Campaign journal, not every official quest
This journal tracks the custom Ashen Covenant campaign. It is not a promise that every quest from every version of official Ragnarok is available in Asterveil.
The journal is a tracker, not a remote shop or teleporter. Buy supplies, train a class, change an aspect, and complete a seal by speaking to a lantern keeper.
